How accurately do you think these words, emailed to me by a yahoo member, describe current U.S. politics?

I despair for the people of America, as the country is in the grip of a political and monetary elite who see the armed forces as a commercial enforcement tool. Yes there are elites elsewhere, but not like in the US. The population has been and continues to be kept in a permanent state of angst regarding the outside world wanting to take their stuff. In point of fact it is America's own elite that covets their stuff.
