What are good ideas of a teacher/student love story?

My friend has written a story about a young teacher whos 19 yrs old who is taking an internship with a high school after taking early entries and graduating from Oxford uni. The girl falls in love with him and he likes her too - his mother has died of pancreatic cancer and now the girl is having abdominal pains.... What can she make happen next?
