How fast can whales (big fish) swim?
The fastest fish is the sailfish which can reach speeds of 68mph in short periods, it however lives in the pacific ocean and at a few meters wide I highly doubt it's able to consume a person! The fastest whale species is the orca (killer whale) and can reach speeds of 30mph over long distances. They can be found at the mouth of the Mediterranean sea between Spain and North Africa. I am unsure however if they are ever or have ever been present in the Mediterranean let alone off Cyprus and Israel. I hope this helped you. I have left the links to the sites were I obtained this info.
