How/why did Evander Holyfield's coveted WBF Heavyweight Boxing Championship get vacated?

Holyfield is no more of a heavyweight champion now then Butterbean..........When will he and some boxing fans realize that. HE was a great champion/fighter, but that was then. Thank you Evander.
